Have you ever tried using the wired broadband modem , to connect two pc’s. Now go and try .
Most modem comes with one ethernet slot and one usb slot.we often use ethernet slot to connect to the pc,but modem is actually designed to use both slot to work at the same time. Modem is actually a router ,which when connected to two computers,it automatically assigns the ip address to each computer.
Step 1 : To connect first pc’s , first you need to find which computer is far from your modem,use this computer to connect with the ethernet slot of the modem. Since ethernet chord (blue wire) are cheaper and you can have any length you need. Connect the ethernet cord to the ethernet slot and switch on the pc, the pc automatically installs all the required driver’s and you’r ready to use the internet.
Step 2: Now connect the second pc (one which is very near) to the usb slot of the modem ,and switch on your second pc,
the pc asks you for the driver to install , now insert the modem cd into the cd drive,and wait for it to finish .
Now enjoy browsing internet on two computers, at the cost of one..
